From its early days as a summer cottage for famed fur trader Magdelaine Laframboise, the Harbour View Inn has grown into the stately hotel it is today. Over the years, three buildings have joined the original Chateau, creating what has become one of Mackinac Island’s preferred accommodations. The historic French and Victorian styles, enhanced with modern conveniences, are still prevalent in the historic Chateau and The Cottage, while The Guest House and The Carriage House feature contemporary furnishings with island appeal.

No matter the building or guest room in which you stay, you’ll experience the rich history, exceptional comfort, and warm hospitality of Harbour View Inn. Get to know our property a little better before your visit. The Chateau features whirlpool, harbor view and garden view rooms. The Guest House and Carriage House have deluxe suites, harbor view, garden view and standard rooms, while the newly renovated Cottage offers harbor view and standard rooms. You are welcome to request a specific building and we will do our best to accommodate.

Whirlpool Rooms

Slip into a two-person whirlpool and unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. Our comfortable Whirlpool Rooms feature either a garden or harbor view.

DeluxeSuites

Our spacious studio-style Deluxe Suites are furnished with one king or two queens in the bedroom and offer a separate sitting room with a sofa sleeper.

Savor a view of the harbour in one of our spacious, light-filled Harbour View Rooms, each furnished with your choice of one or two queen beds.

Cottage Balcony Rooms

Recently renovated, our Cottage Balcony Rooms and Cottage Balcony Harbor View Rooms offer lovely balconies with wonderful views of the harbor or surrounding neighborhood. Some of these rooms do not have air conditioning and there is not an elevator in this building. The Cottage has four floors with guestrooms starting on the second and is stair access only.

Garden ViewRooms

Overlooking our beautiful gardens and courtyard, our elegant Garden View Rooms are furnished with your choice of a queen, a king or two queen beds.

Cottage Standard Rooms

Furnished with a queen bed, our Cottage Rooms offer views of either Mackinac Island State Harbor or the grounds, as well as exclusive access to an intimate breakfast room, shared only by Cottage guests. Please note: These rooms do not have air conditioning and this building does not have an elevator. The Cottage has four floors with guestrooms starting on the second and is stair access only.

Standard Rooms

Three Queen-Bedded Room

The most unique room at Harbour View Inn, our Three Queen-Bedded Room is ideal for families or a group of friends. Highlights include two bathrooms and three queen beds with a view of the harbor.
